SURFACE PREPARATION

All surface must be sound, clean, dry, free from oil, grease cement laitance and all loose adhering particles.

PRIMER APPLICATION

Mix both components of epoxy primer Emperol 8035-Resin and Emperol 8036-Hardener in 2 : 1 proportion and immediately applied in a thin, continuous film using stiff brush or roller.
Porous floors may require two coats of primer.
Allow to dry to become tack free (approx. 4hr at room temp). then apply Em-flor SLF.

SCREED APPLICATION

For trolley movement, screed application is essential.
For 1 to 2 tons trolley movement -1mm screed + 1mm Em-flor SLF &
For 2 to 3 tons trolley movement 2 mm screed + 1 mm Em-flor SLF is ideal.
Mixing ratio of screed is

Emperol 8035-Resin + Emperol 8036 Hardener + Aggregate Sand
       2 parts by wt. +           1 part by wt.        +   6 parts by wt.          = 1 mm screed
       2 parts by wt. +           1 part by wt.        +   12 parts by wt.        = 2 mm screed

Em-flor SLF APPLICATION

Em-flor SLF is supplied in pre-weighed 4 components ready to use on site. Use slow speed electric stirrer for mixing components. One kit of Em-flor SLF covers 10 sq.mt.- 1mm thickness area.

First mix Em-flor SLF Resin (Product Code - 8030-0000) with Epoxy Colour Paste in a mixing vessel until uniform colour is obtained. Then add Em-flor SLF Hardener (Product Code - 8031-0000) and stir well. Finally add Aggregate Filler and stir until homogeneous mixture is obtained. Spread Em-flor SLF mixture on the prepared surface by using toothed trowel or comb. After about 10mins., remove entrapped air by using spiked roller. Allow floor topping to cure for 2 to 7 days. Thickness of the topping can be adjusted from 1mm to 2mm by using appropriate size trowel.

In certain conditions, a light oily film may appear on the surface of the floor on curing. This may be easily removed after a minimum curing period of 48hrs, by washing with a liquid detergent floor cleaner and water.
